You can hear Rickie & Melvin on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge from 10:30 Monday - Thursday combining light-hearted entertainment and fun artist interviews with specialist music to their nationwide audience. When they are not on the radio, they are club DJs across the UK and Europe.
Previously to Radio 1, Rickie & Melvin hosted the Kiss FM Breakfast Show and helped the station achieve record figures and win countless awards, including a Sony Gold for Best Breakfast Show at the Radio Academy Awards. This is widely considered as one of the most prestigious accolades in UK radio.
Alongside radio, Rickie can also be heard co-hosting the hit BBC Sounds show The Footballers Football Podcast which he presents alongside Newcastle striker Callum Wilson and West Ham forward Michail Antonio, with series 2 winning Bronze at the British Podcast Awards. An avid sports fan, he is also a regular on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk.
Rickie & Melvin have appeared on numerous TV shows, including The Celebrity Circle in aid of Stand Up to Cancer, making it to the final of the show, and the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special (where Melvin won the Strictly trophy)! Melvin featured on the 24th series of hit TV show I’m A Celebrity…. Get Me Out Of Here!
As DJs, Rickie & Melvin have played for various brands and organizations from BAFTA to McDonalds and more recently on the main stage for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. You can also catch them across Europe including Ibiza, Portugal, and France.
